Prachi Rao
CO-DIRECTOR
Prachi is a narrative strategist and creative storyteller with more than a decade of experience shaping narratives that drive social impact. Before launching her own consultancy, Prachi led the Center on Narrative Innovation at Drive Agency. Prior to that, Prachi led US strategy at Purpose, including spearheading a multi-year, multimillion-dollar narrative change incubator with RWJF & the Gates Foundation on shifting the narrative on poverty. Prachi has also led social impact strategy for some of the world’s most influential brands and organizations, including Unilever, IKEA, Paramount, and March of Dimes. Her expertise lies in harnessing the power of narrative to inspire change, build movements, and drive meaningful engagement. -

Emily Hawkins
CO-DIRECTOR
Emily is a purpose-driven leader, builder and doer with over 20 years of experience in campaign strategy and creative communications. She has led large-scale campaigns, programs and initiatives with a focus on driving systems, narrative and behavior change. Most recently, Emily ran the Verified initiative, a partnership between Purpose and the United Nations Department of Global Communications, reaching over a billion people through rapid response communications campaigns to combat mis- and disinformation, share accurate information and build critical narratives around urgent global crises. Emily has spent her career at the intersection of social impact and culture. She launched a creative marketing department at Sunshine Sachs Morgan and Lylis, and spent four years running large scale partnerships for CrowdRise and GoFundMe.

Emma Pulido
PROJECT LEAD
Emma comes to the Narrative Breakthrough Studio after six years as a strategist at Purpose. In that time, she worked on social impact projects of all shapes and sizes for the likes of Feeding America, Hinge, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Uber, New York Road Runners, CARE International, Interpeace, the World Economic Forum, Jobs for the Future, and more. She’s worked on narrative change projects, such as the Voices for Economic Mobility Incubator, where she served as a coach for 14 organizations building narrative change campaigns on the topic of economic mobility, and in collaboration with Jobs for the Future, developing and testing new employer narratives on skills-based talent practices.

Ryan Senser
SENIOR ADVISOR & LEAD FACILITATOR
Ryan helps social change leaders bring their ideas to life. He has helped lead strategic planning, organizational change, program innovation and design, behavioral and analytical research, narrative strategy, brand architecture, and creative storytelling for many organizations, including Consumer Reports, Color Of Change, National Domestic Workers Alliance, Demos, SEIU-32BJ, Resilience Force, and the Center for Law, Brain & Behavior. Ryan is the lead facilitator for our in-person retreats and key strategic advisor to the program. -

Nicole Rodgers
SENIOR ADVISOR
Nicole is a social entrepreneur and a leading expert on the changing American family, with deep experience in public-interest communications and research. She is the founder and former executive director of Family Story, a think tank created to advance a broader, more inclusive understanding of how people form and re-form families, and of RoleReboot.org, a storytelling and social-critique platform dedicated to rethinking “traditional” family structures and challenging expectations around gender roles. Nicole will support this project by advising the core team on overall strategy and guiding thoughtful re-engagement with our alumni community.
